Deadline confirmed yesterday that Kumail Nanjiani, Patton Oswalt, Emily Alyn Lind (HBO Max’s Gossip Girl), and comedian James Acaster have joined the cast of the sequel to Sony’s 2021 Ghostbusters: Afterlife. Finn Wolfhard, Mckenna Grace, Carrie Coon, Ernie Hudson, and Paul Rudd have already been confirmed as reprising their roles from the first (third?) movie.

The sequel, directed by Gil Kenan (Monster House), is set in New York City and will return to the iconic firehouse from the original Ghostbusters films. It’s slated for a December 2023 release and we cannot wait!
