Mattel is postponing the launch of their Origins Snake Lair Crowdfund Campaign. The campaign was set to kick off on Monday, August 12 after being voted as the top choice in Mattel’s Eternia’s Choice competition last year.

Since its unveiling at San Diego Comic-Con, the Snake Lair has gotten mixed reviews from fans, and the team set up a survey to get feedback about it. Last night, we received a statement from our friends at Mattel regarding the news that they are postponing the launch:

[W]e listened to feedback and, to make sure we get this right, we’re postponing the launch of the crowdfund to incorporate fan feedback. We believe in Snake Lair, and we know the MOTU community does too because it was voted as top choice in Eternia’s Choice last year. Snake Lair will be back and better than ever!
