Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon Movies announced that a sequel to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem *and* a two-season animated series are in the works. The series, titled “Tales of The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,” will air on Paramount+ and serve as a “bridge” between the two movies. How very Marvel/Disney+ of them.

The upcoming Paramount+ series from Nickelodeon Animation and Point Grey Pictures, “Tales of The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,” will be a 2D animated series with two seasons currently in the works, taking place between the events of the feature film “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem” and the forthcoming sequel. Reprising their roles from the film for the series are Micah Abbey, Shamon Brown Jr., Nicolas Cantu and Brady Noon as the four Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Jeff Rowe will be returning to direct the sequel, after directing and co-writing Mutant Mayhem. Point Grey Pictures will be producing both the sequel and the Paramount+ series.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem opens in theaters on August 2.
