Marvel Studios has released its first trailer for its upcoming series, Echo on Disney+ and Hulu. Echo, which is a spin-off of Hawkeye, will be a five-episode series. It’s the first Marvel series to get a TV-MA rating and to feature a Native American and deaf lead, actress Alaqua Cox. Cox reprises her role as Maya Lopez/Echo from Hawkeye. All five episodes with drop of both platforms on January 10, 2024. The episodes will be available on Hulu until April 9, 2024.
Echo follows Maya Lopez (Cox) as she is pursued by Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio) and his criminal empire. When the journey brings her home, she must confront her own family and legacy. Echo also stars Chaske Spencer, Graham Greene, Tantoo Cardinal, Devery Jacobs, Zahn McClarnon, and Cody Lightning. The five episodes are directed by Sydney Freeland (Navajo) and Catriona McKenzie (Gunaikurnai). [From Disney]
