MOTU Masterverse Vykron, Origins Fang-or, & Origins Lady Slither Coming from Mattel!

Mattel just shared with us the very exciting news that new Masters of the Universe figures are coming soon from Mattel Creations! The new figures are MOTU Masterverse Vykron, MOTU Origins Fang-or, and the first-ever MOTU Origins Lady Slither. Fang-or and Lady Slither, two of the most requested MOTU characters, are both designed by Axel Gimenez.

These figures will be released in Summer/Early Fall 2023, with Vykron being the first one to launch. Here is some quick info on each figure/release:

Masterverse New Eternia Vykron:

  • Pays homage to He-Man’s original prototype
  • Official announcement: May 31, 2023
  • Pre-sale date: June 6, 2023
  • Deluxe 7-inch scale action figure with 30 points of articulation and classic design details
  • Comes with three separate armor and weapons look: The Barbarian, the Eagle Tank and the Spaceman
  • 3 different armor and weaponry looks with metallic details
  • The Barbarian:
    • Look includes a detachable fur-style softgoods cape, an armored chest harness, removable head with spiked helmet and removable leg armor.
  • The Spaceman:
    • Features a space helmet head and chest and belt armor piece connected by a flexible, removable air hose
    • A flexible, removable air hose connects them.
    • Includes swappable wrist armor, orange blaster and rocket-tipped winged jetpack
  • The Eagle Tank:
    • Comes with chest, wrist, and leg armor pieces, as well as a battle ram accessory

Origins Fang-or:

  • Designed by Axel Gimenez

  • Collector-friendly packaging
  • The blister bubble is easily removable it can slide off and on, and he will also come with an exclusive mini comic.
  • Artwork teases potential upcoming figure reveals and a very cool easter-egg included in the cardback artwork.
  • The Snake Lair is surrounded by a moat and a creature. The moat pays homage to The Castle Moat playmat that Mark Taylor originally envisioned, and the sea creature is one of the creatures illustrated in The Castle Moat.

Origins Lady Slither:

  • First-ever Lady Slither action figure
  • Designed by Axel Gimenez
  • Official announcement: September 2023
  • Launching: September 2023
  • Will have an elegant slipcover wrapped in snake scales with a bronze patina finished medallion of her face
  • Has interchangeable human legs
  • The top of the slipcover has a bronze crest of the Snake Man logo while the back has a character writeup inside of a bronzed serpent frame.
  • The front of the box features Lady Slither commanding her troops Fang-Or, Vypor, Stretch Neck and Raptilax (from the vintage mini comics) into battle.
  • On the cardback we have Lady Slither in her human form (featuring her interchangeable human legs) sitting on her throne inside her Snake Lair. To the left of Lady Slither is High Priest Pythonus, a character also designed by Axel, and to the right of Lady Slither is the red Snake Man fans will recognize from Kol-Darr’s cardback art.
