TMNT creator Kevin Eastman did an unboxing on Facebook Live yesterday for Turtle Tuesday, revealing a first look at Battle Damaged Shredder, which includes Shredder unmasked and the gauntlet that was blown up. Eastman also reveals Splinter, which features his teapot, tea cup, and original walking stick.

It’s a delightful 3 minute video that you can watch below. Eastman is clearly excited to see the figures for the first time, at one point exclaiming, “Holy smokes! It literally looks like it walked right out of the pages of the comic book onto your toy shelf. Look at that!”

The new figures from NECA will be out in July and feature new box art by Kevin himself. They’re being released to celebrate Mirage Studios and the 39th anniversary of the first issue of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The line will be ongoing series of figures based on the original Mirage Studios comics.
